Wife Faces Husband's Testimony, More Charges In Child Sex Case

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) – A Jackson mother accused of sexually abusing her 3-year-old daughter with her husband is now facing additional charges after her husband testified against her in court on Friday.

According to prosecutors, the husband said not only did he and his wife abuse their child together, but also said his wife took part in sexual acts with the girl on her own.

His testimony led to his wife being charged with more counts of criminal sexual conduct. She originally faced two charges, but now faces seven counts of CSC and one count of first degree child abuse.

In June, the husband was charged with 12 counts of CSC. However, as part of a plea deal, ten of those charges were dropped.

The woman's $10,000 bond has been revoked. Both remain in jail.

Editor's note: The suspects in this case are not being named to protect the identity of the child.
