Restaurants, Businesses Honor Local Veterans

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Many local businesses are offering their services free today as a small token of appreciation to service members.

Active duty military and veterans can get a free lunch at the Texas Roadhouse in Lansing until 2 pm.

Champps restaurants throughout Michigan are offering a free burger and fries to active service members and veterans. After lunch, veterans can head over to McDonald's in Saint Johns for a free apple pie until 11 p.m.

Asian Buffet is offering a free dinner. Applebee's is honoring veterans with a free entree. Domino's is offering 50 percent off. If you're in for some pancakes, Denny's is offering all you can eat for veterans.

Until 7 p.m., Wheel Inn in St. Johns is offering a free spaghetti dinner.

Across the country Great Clips salons are offering a free haircut for veterans who stop in. Even if you're not a veteran, if you get a haircut Monday they'll give you a coupon for a free haircut to give to a veteran to use on a later date.
