Woman Dies After Car Collision

UPDATE: Police have released the name of the woman who died Monday night on I-96 near M-52. Jennifer Noelle Barrett, 42 of Lansing died after she was thrown from her car.

Weather and road conditions are believed to be a factor in the accident.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A 42-year-old Lansing woman died on eastbound I-96 near M-52 Monday night after being thrown from her vehicle.

Police say she started sliding on the highway before coming to a stop. She was then hit by another vehicle and ejected from her car.

Officials say she was hit by a third vehicle who didn't see her in the road.

Officials haven't released the woman's name.
