Human Trafficking Candlelight Vigil At Capitol Wednesday Night

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A Human Services Committee will hear comments on recently introduced human trafficking bills at the Capitol Tuesday.

The proposed legislations would fight human trafficking as well as provide support for victims.

State senator Judy Emmons will also hold a candlelight vigil Wednesday to honor the victims.

The vigil is at 6:30 p.m. on the east lawn of the Michigan Capitol. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to bring a lighter, candle or flashlight.
