Man Finds Human Leg Bone On Lake Mich. Shoreline

MEARS, Mich. (WLNS) - A human leg bone was found on Saturday, Nov. 9 in Silver Lake State Park.

The Oceana County Sheriff's Office said a man from Hillsdale was walking along the shoreline Saturday morning when he found the bone. The man turned the bone over to the Oceana County Deputy.

The bone was confirmed as a human femur bone by Michigan State Anthropologist Dr. Fenton. It's now heading to the Michigan State Police Forensic Lab for testing and DNA analysis.
