Tree Falls Onto Home In Holt

Posted: Updated:

HOLT, Mich. (WLNS) - Although the storms seemed to have passed here in Mid-Michigan, people are now facing with the aftermath of the damage.

Dana Parker from Holt had a tree crash into his living room while he was watching the Lions game earlier today.

"Next thing I know I thought I heard a crack and I thought it was a window at first and all of a sudden I hear a boom, looked over and there's a branch coming through the living room wall," said Parker.

The tree used to sit at the front of his property before the storms knocked it over onto the north side of his house.

"I've never had anything like this happen," said Parker. "I don't know where I'm at. I've to get it cleaned up I'm sure."

Although there is significant damage, Dana realizes the situation could have been much worse.

"Force of nature I guess," said Parker. "And thankfully God protected us and thankfully no one was hurt."

Parker adds he isn't sure how or when the tree is going to be removed or how much it is going to cost him in damage.
