LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Nearly a dozen jobs could be opening-up at the Lansing Police Department next year and if you'd like to get your foot in the door, the department is holding an employment fair Wednesday.

So far this year, eight officers have joined the force, with three more expected in December.

And starting next year, there will be more than 10 positions up for grabs.

Today's informational session will give people an opportunity to learn about the department and the hiring process.

If you're interested, it starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Cristo Rey Community Center, located on the 1700 block of North High Street.

The deadline to apply for any open officers positions is Friday, December 6th.
