Marine City 12 - Lansing Sexton 7

Meanwhile, in Division IV, Dan Boggan led his undefeated Big Reds from Lansing Sexton against mighty Marine City.

In the second quarter, Malik Mack showed off his arm with a deep ball to Javon Cooney for six. The Big Reds striked first for a 7-0 lead.

Still in the second, Mack dropped back again. But this time, he was picked off and Marine city took over. And that led to a score.

On 4th down, Tate Sapenza tried once, then again, then he was in. The extra point was no good, however, to make it a 7-6 Marine City lead.

Then in the third, the Mariners went ahead for good. Sapenza yet again had a score.

Sexton could not get the offense going in the second half, and the Big Reds fell just one game short of Ford Field, 12-7. A spectacular season for Sexton football.
