Veteran Who Starred In Makeover Clip Enters Rehab

Posted: Updated:

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - A Grand Rapids homeless veteran whose makeover video was viewed millions of times online has been released from jail early to enter a rehabilitation facility.

James Allen Wolf was arrested Sunday at a Burger King in the city and pleaded guilty Monday to misdemeanor charges of trespassing and creating a disturbance. A judge ordered the 54-year-old to serve 10 days in jail.

Rob Bliss worked with DeGage Ministries to bring about Wolf's physical transformation in the time-lapse video that shows an unkempt Wolf transform into a sharp-dressed, neatly trimmed man.

Bliss tells The Grand Rapids Press donations from an anonymous source are paying for Wolf's rehab. He's expected to be there for 90 days.

In the video, producers say Wolf suffers from alcoholism, substance abuse and mental health issues.
