Mich. To Focus On Helping Economy Move Forward

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Michigan's unemployment rate currently sits at 9 percent, which hasn't changed in three months.

But a new report being released Monday focuses on moving Michigan's economy forward and helping the state compete.

The 2013 Michigan Economic Competitiveness Study states Michigan is currently in fierce competition with other states and foreign countries for jobs. So the study will analyze and compare the states economic strengths and weaknesses to other states and determine the states improvement areas.

The discussion will take place Monday at 2 p.m. at the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
