Blues Help Reopen Pinckney UM Student Free Clinic

PINCKNEY, Mich. (AP) - The University of Michigan-run free health clinic in Pinckney has reopened after a fire at its old location, with help from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and other donors.

Blue Cross has contributed $30,000 and medical students have raised a similar amount to pay for the clinic's relocation.

Michigan medical students provide services at the clinic, which shares space with operate the clinic, which shares space with Faith Medical Clinic.

The Student Run Free Clinic has begun serving uninsured adult patients every Saturday afternoon.

The Faith Medical Clinic's previous location was destroyed by a fire in February.
