Coach Izzo And Team Deliver Pizzas To Waiting Student Section

Posted: Updated:

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - The top ranked Michigan State Univerisity basketball team took on North Carolina at the Breslin Center Wednesday night."It's so worth it. It's worth the wait."

Some fans started lining up as early as 8a.m., while others skipped classes throughout the day to wait.

"Since 1:30 this afternoon, I skipped my math class exam review to come wait in line," said MSU student Beau Barager.

It might be the week before finals, but Beaurbarager says seeing the number one Spartans in action is more important. "It's really our second chance to prove ourselves to be number one."

It's also a chance Anna Halldorson says to earn bragging rights. "My sister went to Chapel Hill, so I have to. It's kind of a rival between us."

But how important is this early season game? Enough for Coach Izzo and the team to deliver pizza to the beloved student section.

"I'm expecting something close and I want the Izzone to be an effect on it."

An effect that Senior Aubrey Dweyer has experienced first hand.
