What A $10 Donation Gets You At Greater Lansing Food Bank

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - At the Greater Lansing Food Bank, your dollars will go much further than if you buy $10 worth of groceries at the store.

According to Kim Gladstone, a representative at the food bank, it has increased buying power and $1 equals 9 pounds of food. "So we're able to purchase more food with money because of our increased buying power," she said.

Gladstone also adds that giving during the holidays is important, but the food bank is a 12 month-a-year business.
