Roaming Naked Man Sends Three Officers To Hospital

Posted: Updated:

OKEMOS, Mich. (WLNS) - Meridian Township officers had their hands full Sunday as they worked to contain a naked man walking in an apartment and condo complex parking lot.

It happened around 2:51 p.m. Sunday on the 1500 block of West Pond Drive, off of Grand River Avenue in Okemos.

Officials say Ronald Ray Ruhl, 26, resisted and fought with officers and went as far as biting them. Three officers, along with Ruhl, were taken to Sparrow. The officers have been released, but the suspect is still at the hospital.

Ruhl was arraigned for indecent exposure, attempting to disarm a peace officer firearm and other weapon and three counts of resisting and obstructing an officer with injury.

He's currently being held on bond at $100,000.

The incident remains under investigation. If you have any information, contact the Meridian Township Police Department at 517-853-4800 or Crime Stoppers at 517-483-STOP.
