Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - According to the Michigan Department of Community Health, nearly 40 percent of children between the ages of seven and 10 are considered obese.

To help fight this, the "ACE" program is having a fitness event for Mount Hope Elementary School.

The program will offer kids a variety of activities to play, along with healthy snacks.

The event kicks off at 3:45 Tuesday afternoon and goes until 5.
