Michigan Improves In Annual U.S. Health Rankings

Posted: Updated:

The United Health Foundation has released their annual "America's Health Rankings" and Michigan is improving in some areas.

The report evaluates how each state is performing on a variety of important healthy measures.

The numbers show a drop in smoking rates from 21 to 19 percent. There was also a drop in physical in-activity from 26 percent to 23 percent, meaning more people are going out and getting active.

Michigan was ranked 34th out of 50 states as a whole for the health rankings.
