Footprints In Snow Help Officers Find Armed Robber

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON COUNTY, Mich. (WLNS) - A late night armed robbery prompted the city of Jackson to send out a police dog.

It happened at Buddy's Mini Mart in the Vandercook Lake area around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

A man walked into the store carrying a gun. He demanded cash and lottery tickets. Once he got both, the man left on foot.

The suspect was tracked less than one mile away at a home on Eugene Avenue. Officials followed footprints in the snow and used a K-9 unit to help find the suspect.

The suspect is expected to be arraigned this week.
