JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) - As the cold and snow continues, so does the flu season.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention says that so far, 40 percent of the population has been vaccinated against the flu. There have already been three pediatric deaths related to it.
The CDC also said the vaccine prevented around 6.6 million people from getting sick and around 79,000 hospitalizations last year.
The flu season usually peaks between January and March.
