Trial Ordered For 2 Men In Medical Student's Death

Posted: Updated:

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Two men will stand trial in the fatal shooting of University of Michigan medical student Paul DeWolf during a break-in at his Ann Arbor fraternity house.

A district court judge ordered 21-year-old Shaquille Jones and 20-year-old Joei Jordan to circuit court on open murder and home invasion charges. They were arrested last month in South Carolina.

A third suspect is jailed in Michigan on a bond violation in another case but hasn't been charged in DeWolf's killing.

The 25-year-old DeWolf was found dead July 24 at an off-campus medical fraternity. A video game system was taken and later sold for $80.

The Ann Arbor News reports that a prosecutor played taped interviews Friday in which Jones and Jordan told police an accomplice accidentally shot DeWolf during the burglary.
