Michigan Man Shot In W. Pa.

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) - A Michigan man has been hospitalized after being shot in western Pennsylvania.

The New Castle News reports that 27-year-old Matthew Dexter Wedgeworth of Lincoln Park, Mich., was shot in the back at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in New Castle.

New Castle Police Chief Bobby Salem says Wedgeworth was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio, where he underwent surgery.

The shooting is still under investigation and no one has been charged.
