Business Leaders Participate in Mich. Economic Forecast Series

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - The anniversary of the passage of the right to work bill is this week and that's just one of the many topics discussed at the Michigan Economic Forecast series Tuesday.

Business leaders and owners met at the Eagle Eye Golf Club to learn about some long term trends affecting businesses statewide.

More than 100 business representatives were able to ask questions to a panel of economic forecasters who said that Michigan's business progressions were on the rise.

Event goers also learned the keys to a progressive business.

"The key to prosperity for the long term is the skills of the workers. And so we've got to focus on education, training, skill. No matter how you do it. That's really the key," said Dr. Charles Ballard, MSU Professor, Department of Economics.

For businesses that may have missed the luncheon, another series will be taking place in January.
