Michigan Economic Forecast Series Meets

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - On the week of the first anniversary to Right To Work, the Michigan Economic Forecast Series met.

Business leaders and owners met at the Eagle Eye Golf Club and more than 100 business reps were able to ask questions to a panel of economic forecasters who say Michigan's business forecast is on the rise.

They learned how businesses could keep up with the fast growing economy in Michigan, including job growth and competition.

"Most businesses continue to expect things to be positive. They expect their sales to go up slightly, they expect to continue to hire more people in the economy. Most businesses are saying that they're still having trouble finding qualified applicants. They still have to invest a little more in training and healthcare and how that could potentially impact them," said Britt Mike, the president of Accident Fund Insurance Company.

For those who missed the December meeting, there will be another series in January.
