Company Donates $40,000 And 268 Pounds Of Food To Food Bank

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A company in Lansing is celebrating the Christmas spirit by helping those in need. Employees collected 268 pounds of food and donated both money and time to the Greater Lansing Food Bank.

The company, Accident Fund Holdings, Inc. donated $40,000 to help the GLFB feed families.

On Thursday 50 employees volunteered to help at the food bank.

"We depend upon the generosity of the community and local agencies to support our operations, so any extra help we can get with both monetary and food donations are greatly appreciated.  Our thanks to Accident Fund as an example of the important support we receive from our community," said Joe Wald, executive director of the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
