Fire Dept. Trainee To Be Sentenced For Arson

DEWITT, Mich. (WLNS) - A former DeWitt Township fire department trainee will be sentenced in February after pleading guilty to starting a fire in his apartment building.

Matthew Landfair, 36, is facing life in prison for frist degree arson.

Police say Landfair intentionally started the fire at the Alana Woods Apartment Complex back in July, which destroyed 12 units and left 23 people without a home.
