Animal Shelter Holds All-Night Adoption Event

Posted: Updated:

MASON, Mich. (WLNS) - The Ingham County Animal Shelter will be working around the clock in an effort to find every pet a home for the holidays.

The shelter will close briefly at 4p.m. to staff, then volunteers will re-open the facility for 12 hours to let people adopt well into the night.

Adoption fees during the all-nighter are only $25, which include the pet's spay or neuter, as well as vaccinations and micro-chips.

This year, the shelter took in about 2,300 animals and for the first time in the shelters history, didn't have to put down a single pet because of overcrowding.

The shelter is located at 600 Curtis St. in Mason. Their phone number is 517-676-8370.
