Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - What was expected to be a routine traffic violation stop, turned out to be a surprise for police when they found John Louis Dykema.

The 52-year-old led Lansing Police on a chase for three blocks, when the car crashed into two other cars at Baker and Pennsylvania.

A woman in one of the other cars was sent to the hospital with minor injuries. All three cars were totaled and towed from the scene.

Dykema was arraigned Friday and was charged with fleeing from a police officer and with a third-degree vehicle code.

He's due back in court December 30.
