Army Sgt. Gets Christmas Surprise From Operation Homefront

Posted: Updated:

BRIGHTON, Mich. (WLNS) - A retired Brighton veteran got a surprise early Christmas present thanks to "Operation Homefront."

Friday morning, the non-profit organization brought retired U.S. Army Sergeant ennis Latowski a signed hood off the number 43 Eckrich Ford.

Nascar Driver Aric Almirola drove the car and it even has Sergeant Latowski's name written on the front of the hood.

"I really didn't even expect this at all, so it's very cool. I can't even put into words what they do for everybody. It's a lot. It's graciously appreciated," said Sgt. Latowski.

Since 2002, Operation Homefront has helped nearly 600,000 military families.
