2 Charged For Robbing Business

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Two men are behind bars after police say they tried to rob a business Monday morning.

It happened around 1a.m. in the 3000 block of 7th Avenue.

Witnesses were able to describe the two men enough that officers located the suspect vehicle and the stolen property inside. The two were arrested immediately.

Richard Sparks, 32, and Tyler Thayer, 20, both of Lansing were charged with felony possession of burglar's tools, malicious destruction of personal property, larceny of less than $200 and as habitual offenders.

They're due back in court next week.
