It happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday at a home on the 6000 block of Young Road in Leoni Township.

Police say a 22-year-old man went to the home and shot a 27-year-old man in the arm. The victim's father stabbed the shooter in the chest in self defense.

After the stabbing, police say the 22-year-old drove off. Officers found the man shortly after and he was taken to the hospital.
