Firefighters Battle House Fire

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Firefighters are investigating the cause of a house fire that severely damaged a Lansing home Friday morning.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. Friday on the 4300 block of Balmoral Drive.

Firefighters say crews arrived to the duplex and saw heavy smoke. One firefighter was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The smoke detectors in the home were working properly at the time of the fire. The flames severely damaged the home.

No one was home, but the house did have power.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
