LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - As the temperatures warm up, last weekend's ice storm is beginning to melt away. While that may sound nice, melting ice can be dangerous when it turns into falling blocks.

Avoid falling ice by keeping yourself and your car away from power lines, towers and trees.

If you have to go outside for any reason, take the time to look up to ensure your safety.

Temperatures are expected to stay above freezing, so ice is expected to continously melt and fall.

Stay alert and remind those around you to be careful around falling ice.
