Thawing Trees Cause More Outages for BWL Customers

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Lansing Board of Water and Light says outages have grown to 4,500 customers due to line problems caused by thawing trees and additional outages reported and identified.

Crews are continuing to work throughout Lansing to restore power along circuits in areas near the following intersections:

Pattengill/Barnes

Michigan/Renker

N. Grand River/Edgebrook

Irvington/Pennsylvania

W. Saginaw/Carey

Mt Hope/Sunnyside  

Miller/Washington

Jolly/Washington

Northeast/Community

Blue Lagoon/St. Joe 

Hagadorn/Burcham (E. Lansing)

Coolidge/Grand River (E. Lansing)

Saginaw/Harrison (E. Lansing)

Orchard St./Ann St (E. Lansing)

BWL has 18 line crews in the field working, with an additional 10 crews on their way.
