Gas Prices Rise Throughout Weekend

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - If you're planning to drive around this week, perhaps to scout out a place to watch the big game, the prices at the pump may surprise you.

Prices rose last week and throughout the weekend, despite power outages in the area.

Early Monday morning, gas was $3.46 in Lansing and $3.48 in St. Johns. Michigan's average was $3.40.

As of 10:30 a.m., Lansing's average price is $3.46. Michigan's average is $3.39 and the national average is lower, sitting at $3.29.

The lowest price in the area is $3.34 (Dimondale) and the highest $3.59 (Okemos).
