Birth Control Requirements Delayed For Health Care Laws

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - Supreme court justice Sonia Sotomayor has delayed a portion of the Affordable Care Act that should have rolled out Wednesday.

It deals with the requirement that religious organizations offer birth control, as part of their health insurance plans, or face penalties.

Some organizations argue it's against their religion to support contraceptives.

The government has until Friday morning to respond to her decision.
