New Year's Day Fire Destroys Two Homes

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) - Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a home on New Years Day.

According to our media partners at MLive, it happened around 12:45 a.m. in the 700 block of Franklin Street. Two units of a duplex home were involved in the flames.

Firefighters were on scene for about four hours. The fire is being considered suspicious.

Firefighters say the duplex is a total loss.
