Even though Stephanie arrived two weeks early, doctors say she's a healthy 6 pounds, 5 ounces.

Her mom says she's already showing some personality, sticking out her tongue.

More than anything, these new parents say they're excited about their new bundle of joy.

"Its the first steps into the world on my arm. So I'm going to get it tattooed," said Alexis Strosnyder," delivered New Year's Day baby.

"Ive always liked to teach children but I've never wanted to be a teacher or anything, so now I can fulfill that part of me that wants to teach and my baby can learn from it," said Wesley Russell, Father of New Year's Day baby.

Baby Stephanie is one of many mid-Michigan babies born on New Year's Day of 2014.
