Snow Storm Shuts Down Parts Of Mid-Michigan

(WLNS) - The heavy snow that came in over the weekend has closed down parts of mid-Michigan. A greater portion of mid-Michigan was closed on Monday. Now, places are still closed Tuesday.

The following information is all for Tuesday, January 7:

Some local schools are closed.

Lansing Community College says the orientation for international students has been moved from Monday to Wednesday. Jackson College will be closed Tuesday.

Michigan State University will resume normal operations at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Delhi Chart Township has announced it will be closed because of the weather.

Granger trash pick-up and recycling will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.

According to WHMI, Brighton City Hall is closed following a water main break.

The Tri County Office on Aging with be closed, as well as Meals on Wheels delivery.

The City of East Lansing's Bailey Community Center will remain closed.

St. John's Baby Pantry is closed Tuesday in Clinton County.

The Adventist Community Service Center is closed Tuesday.

The Michigan Community Credit Union will be open starting at 11a.m. on Tuesday.

Charlotte Eagle's #3552 BINGO is canceled for Tuesday and will resume next week on January 14.

Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson is closed Tuesday.

Officials are still urging people to stay off the roads unless driving is necessary. If you do need to go somewhere, it's still best to call ahead and check and see if they're open.
