Shoveling Suspended For Some Local Areas

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Due to the arctic blast some places still have their shoveling rules and ordinances suspended Tuesday.

Normally in cities across mid-Michigan residents are required to shovel their sidewalks within 24 hours after snowfall ends.

But for East Lansing and Jackson, residents will not have to shovel their snow yet because of cold weather.

Jackson has suspended their rule until Thursday, Jan. 9 at noon.

East Lansing residents can wait until Wednesday.
