MSU Closed Until Tuesday Evening Due To Weather

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Michigan State University has decided to stay closed until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 due to the wind chill temperatures and drifting snow.

All classes before 5 p.m. are canceled, but most evening classes will be held. The College of Law has canceled all classes for January 7.

For students who live in campus, one dining hall in each neighborhood will be open to serve food at regular hours.

Any employees starting their shifts at 5 p.m. or after should report to work, says MSU.

The school says campus events and any in-person services will resume at 5 p.m.

Students attending Michigan State University's medical schools in Grand Rapids, Clinton Township and Detroit should call to be sure the campuses are open, but be read for classes beginning at 5 p.m.

For students in clerkships or clinical sites, MSU says to check in to find out your hospital or clinic responsibilitise for the day.
