Michigan State Finishes No. 3 In Final College Football Rankings

Posted: Updated:

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - After their big 24-20 Rose Bowl victory over Stanford, the MSU Spartans were in the fourth spot for college football rankings.

Alabama lost against Oklahoma in the National Championship game Monday night, which made Alabama give up the No. 3 spot. Now Michigan State University is ranked third in college football, behind Florida State and Auburn.

Even though Auburn lost Monday night, the school is still in the No. 2 spot. Florida State's last second touchdown kept Michigan State out of the No. 2 spot.

Michigan State University finishes in the No. 3 spot for both the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll.
