Police Searching For Suspect Responsible For Three Armed Robberies

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Lansing and East Lansing police area searching for a man responsible for three armed convenience store robberies.

The first robbery happened around 11:35 p.m. Tuesday at the 7-Eleven in the 900 block of East Grand River.

Twenty minutes later, around 11:55 p.m. Tuesday at the Quality Dairy store in the 2600 block of South Cedar Street in Lansing.

Officials say a man walked into the store and indicated that he had a weapon. The suspect demanded money and left with cash. As the suspect exited the store, he was seen walking north. The employee was not injured.

Around 2:25 a.m. Wednesday the third robbery occurred at a Speedway gas station in the 100 block of West Lake Lansing Road, near Abbott Road in East Lansing.

Both East Lansing and Lansing police believe the same man is responsible for all three robberies.

The suspect is described as a white man, mid 30's, 5'10", medium to heavy build with spiked hair. He was wearing a head band around his head, black jacket and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.

The suspect may be driving a maroon colored Chevrolet two door.
