Posted: Updated:

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) - The Jackson County Medical Care Facility will continue visitor restrictions through the weekend because of a flu outbreak.

Officials say there have been two confirmed cases of Influenza A, which is a strain of the H1n1 flu virus.

The director of preventative health services at the Jackson County Health Department, Mary Ricciardello, says there were 33 residents with flu-like symptoms. All but 14 have since recovered.

Officials at the health department say there have been no new outbreaks and the facility should be open next week.
