BWL Customers Left In The Dark Eligible For $25 Credit

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - The Lansing Board of Water and Light announced Friday those customers who were without power for at least 120 hours are eligible for a credit.

Those who were out for at least 120 hours, or five days, can receive a $25 credit, and an additional $5 per day after that. That credit would then be applied to their bills.

BWL says once the form is submitted, the credit would be applied to their next billing statement if received around 15 days before their bill is printed.

Customers must fill out a credit form at the top of the BWL website by clicking the button labeled "Apply for Catastrophic Storm Outage Credit."

Once completed, the form can be emailed. For those without Internet, call the cusomter service center at 517-702-6006 to have it mailed, or pick up a form.

If you have any questions about the outage credit, call 517-702-6006 Monady through Friday 8:30a.m. to 5:30p.m.
