Exhibit To Celebrate Land Protected By Conservancy

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON, Mich. (AP) - An upcoming art exhibit in Jackson is celebrating area lands protected by the Legacy Land Conservancy.

Called "Legacy of the Land through Art," the exhibit at Sandhill Crane Vineyards opens Feb. 1 and runs through March 9.

The exhibit includes mixed media works by artists active in Washtenaw and Jackson counties, areas where the Legacy Land Conservancy works to protect properties. The exhibit celebrates and explores benefits people receive through their connection to the land.

To mark the event, Sandhill Crane Vineyards plans to release Legacy wine, a dry blend of Chardonnay and Vignoles, at an evening reception on Jan. 31. The reception is open to the public, but reservations are recommended. The $35 ticket price is a contribution to Legacy Land Conservancy.
