Man Steals $1,600 Worth Of Walmart Batteries

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. (WLNS) - Deputies are searching for a man they say stole about 180 batteries from the Walmart in Mount Pleasant.

The suspect hooked a chain to the back of his green pickup truck to open a locked gate. He then took about 180 batteries that were valued at $1,600.

Surveillance video captured the man (see picture).  He's about 5'9" and about 30-40 years old.

The larceny took place Friday, January 10th between 8-9 p.m.
