Michigan State University Releases Five Provost Candidates

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - The provost position is currently open at Michigan State University and there are five candidates.

The former provost, Kim Wilcox left the position in July 2013. June Youatt, who is one of the five candidates has been acting as the provost since Wilcox left. Youatt is the former Dean of Undergraduate Education.

The other candidates include:

José Luis Bermúdez - Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Texas A & M University

Paul D'Anieri - Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida

Deborah Kochevar - Dean and the Henry and Lois Foster Professor at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University

Sara Mangelsdorf - Dean of the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern University
