Police Searching For Armed Speedway Robbery Suspect

UPDATE: (10:45 a.m.) - Police have released pictures of the robbery suspect. The suspect is described as a black man, 6 feet and 180 pounds. 

At the time of the robbery, he was wearing red sweat pants, a black winter vest, a dark grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and a red/orange knit or fleece hat with a bill. The suspect also wore glasses during the robbery.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)- Officials are trying to track down the man who they say robbed a Speedway gas station early Thursday morning.

It happened around 2:35 a.m. at the station on the 1900 block of East Michigan Avenue, down the street from Sparrow Hospital.

Lansing Police officials tell us the man walked in, indicated to the clerk he had a gun, then got away with cash.

"There was some evidence found and we are reviewing the video tape at this time," said Sgt. Jeromy Churchill.

Police also say witnesses saw the suspect get into a car. According to police, the car is silver and an older sedan.
