LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Potter Park Zoo is saying goodbye to two of three Amur tigers born at the zoo in 2011.

Kira and Savelii were moved to Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown, South Dakota on Thursday. The third tiger born at the zoo is Kira and Savelii's sister, Ameliya. She will be staying in Lansing along with the tigers' father Sivaki and mother Nika.

When the tigers were born the world was watching on Potter Park Zoo's tiger cam. Now each tiger weighs more than 200 pounds and normally Amur tigers are separated as adults.

"Kira and Savelii were selected to leave together because they have the strongest relationship of the three tigers and have the highest likelihood of being able to stay together," said Keeper Jan Brigham.
