Man Accused Of Stealing Car Batteries From Walmart Behind Bars

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (WLNS) - The man accused of stealing car batteries from Walmart is now behind bars.

The Isabella County Sheriff's Department arrested Dennis Paul Pratt, 49, Tuesday from Saginaw.

It was determined he took 4,017 pounds of batteries in his half-ton pick-up truck from a Walmart in Mount Pleasant.

Officials say they were able to track the man down thanks to TV viewers who identified him.

Pratt was arraigned for felony larceny and malicious destruction of a building.

He's being held in Isabella County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
