Pewamo-Westphalia 38 - Laingsburg 21 (Girls)

Pewamo-Westphalia played host to Laingsburg.

It was a 'rough-and-tumble' game. Marlena Klein drove to the hoop and did not get the right angle.  But she got her own rebound and put it in for a bucket and two-point Pewamo-Westphalia lead.

The Pirate crowd was rocking on the roller coaster, but the Wolfpack had some teeth. Jalynn Mitchell drilled the long two to get Laingsburg within two.

Both coaches prepped their plans for the last minute of the first half. Pewamo-Westphalia had the ball under the hoop. The Pirates kicked it out to Hannah Thelen who drained a three. She scored 12 points in the game.

The Pirates went on to win, 38-21. They now lead the CMAC at 7-0, and are 9-0 overall.
